2009 Cambodia Side Trip
Although the purpose of our bike tour was to support the Vietnamese people through Kids First Vietnam, it seemed silly to pass on an opportunity to visit Cambodia, since we were so close. Three days touring historic sites and learning about its history gave us a lot to think about. Cambodia has many, many poor people. It’s the 2nd most corrupt country in the world, behind Berma. The government keeps most of the profits while the poor suffer. The country also tops the list in land mines, ahead of Afghanistan and Angola.
